Private Curator Tours

Curator Tours Offered from October - April*

Have you ever wondered what working with museum artifacts is like? Our site curator will lead this hour-long, intimate group tour around Manatee Village and share some insider information about how they care for our museum’s artifacts and buildings. (5-7 participants)

Cost: $20 per person + tax (5 people minimum/7 people maximum)

​

​​How to Book

  2. Get in touch with us by calling, emailing, or visiting us during hours 

  3. Hold your spot by submitting the application and pre-paying $100 + tax- Pre-payment covers the full cost of the first 5 participants (the minimum to book). You will not pay more than $20/person + tax. When booking, you may also choose to pre-pay for additional guests or you may pay for them the day of the tour before the tour begins. ​

 

Tours are subject to staff availability and are not considered booked until you receive confirmation in writing from staff. If you are unsure of your dates or participant count, you may request a 30 day hold on your date. If the application and pre-payment are not received before the end of that 30-day window, the days will be released.

Rescheduling/Cancellations: Rescheduling tours is subject to staff availability. Tours may be rescheduled up to two weeks in advance. Cancellations by the group within two weeks of the tour will result in forfeiture of the pre-payment. In the event that Manatee Village staff needs to cancel your tour due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive the option to either reschedule or receive a full refund (which will be paid in check form, please allow up to 60 days to process). Manatee Village staff will reach out to you two weeks prior to your tour to confirm your anticipated attendance.

Historical displays, building restoration, and maintenance are our first priorities. Available buildings and grounds (or their appearance due to restoration) are subject to change.

About the Clerk’s Office

The Clerk of Circuit Court was established as a public trustee by the Florida Constitution in 1838. The Clerk of the Circuit Court serves as the Clerk of Courts, the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, Auditor, Recorder, and Custodian of all County Funds. In Manatee County, the Clerk’s office also administers a local child support enforcement program, violence protection advocacy program, Manatee Teen Court, and the preservation of historical resources through its historical resources department.
