We have several exhibitions that tell the story of living in Manatee County between 1840 and 1918.

For guests unable to visit our site, we offer several digital exhibitions. These can be accessed on a computer or mobile device.

MVHP is made up of 7 historical and 5 replica buildings or structures, along with Old Cabbage Head, our 1913 Locomotive.

For those unable to visit, or anyone who wants an audio aid, we offer audio-based self guided tours of our site.

Our guests can tour the 1850 Manatee Burying Ground, the oldest established cemetery in Manatee County.

About the Clerk’s Office

The Clerk of Circuit Court was established as a public trustee by the Florida Constitution in 1838. The Clerk of the Circuit Court serves as the Clerk of Courts, the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, Auditor, Recorder, and Custodian of all County Funds. In Manatee County, the Clerk’s office also administers a local child support enforcement program, violence protection advocacy program, Manatee Teen Court, and the preservation of historical resources through its historical resources department.
