In order to fulfill our mission to preserve and share the heritage of Manatee County's founding period, MVHP continuously conducts research on Manatee County and Florida history. Here, you can access some of the research we've done, read articles we've written, and view some of the sources we use.
Online Activities are meant to provide education and entertainment outside of our site. Activities are compiled by Manatee Village Historical Park staff members and are supplemented with other resources.
Activity books and worksheets can be downloaded and printed for learning while visiting the museum and at home or in the classroom. Handouts are created by Manatee Village Historical Park staff members and are supplemented with other resources. Each connects the museum's collections to a wide range of educational subject matter and benchmark standards including history/social studies, observation skills, reading comprehension, critical thinking skills, science, chemistry, math, geometry, art/design, and more.
