Field Trips

Consider Manatee Village Historical Park for your next field trip! We offer self-guided visits year-round and guided field trips during select months. Our field trip programming focuses on Florida history during Manatee County's founding era, 1840-1918.

 

Our educational activities, teacher resources, materials, and tours prioritize providing meaningful experiences that enhance learning local history and aligns with Florida curriculum standards.

To book a visit, contact manatee.village@manateeclerk.com and/or call 941-749-7165 at least 14 days prior to your visit. Booking details will be confirmed via email and a reminder confirmation will be sent ahead of your visit. Your reservation must be confirmed in writing via email by MVHP staff.

 

When emailing or calling to book, please include:

 

  • How many students and adults will be present

  • Arrival time (we cannot accommodate arrivals earlier than 9am)

  • Duration of visit (must depart prior to 4pm)

  • Transportation/how you will arrive (i.e. by bus, van, separate cars, etc.)

  • If you will be eating lunch on site

  • Any accommodation or accessibility needs to be noted

About the Clerk’s Office

The Clerk of Circuit Court was established as a public trustee by the Florida Constitution in 1838. The Clerk of the Circuit Court serves as the Clerk of Courts, the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, Auditor, Recorder, and Custodian of all County Funds. In Manatee County, the Clerk’s office also administers a local child support enforcement program, violence protection advocacy program, Manatee Teen Court, and the preservation of historical resources through its historical resources department.
