Nestled under a canopy of native oak trees, our lovely 1887 Church brings a simple romance and charm to your special day. With a variety of settings, our grounds are versatile enough for every style of celebration. Whether traditional or non-traditional, religious or secular, classic or themed, there are many possibilities for your cherished event.

Guests can stroll along brick paths as they make their way to the 1887 Church and get a feel for a by-gone era. Newly wedded couples can get photos in the Courthouse or on the Stephens House porch swing, throw the bouquet from the second floor balcony of the Wiggins Store, and make their exit down the brick road that used to be Manatee Avenue.

Wedding Venue Rental Estimates

Our wedding package includes a 90 minute rehearsal and three (3) hours on the day of the wedding. As part of our preservation efforts, we do not host receptions on-site.

Booking fee: $675 plus tax
Security deposit: $300
Security Guard: $19/hour (4 hour minimum)

A $300 security deposit is due at time of booking to secure your reservation. The balance amount due must be paid no less than thirty (30) days prior to the rehearsal date. Download our wedding information packet for all the details.

First Come First Served: Applications must be received within two (2) weeks of making a reservation, accompanied by payment of a $300 security deposit. Dates are scheduled on a first come first served basis. Please note we do not hold weddings or private rentals on Holidays and their associated weekends.
Wedding Size: Please be mindful of current CDC guidelines such as group sizes, etc. The total number of people at the site needs to include the bride/groom, bridal party, and families of the bride/groom as well as staff members. Please take this into consideration when planning your wedding and before sending invitations.
Confirmation: You will be notified in writing when your application is accepted. All dates and times must be confirmed at least thirty (30) days before the event.
Payment: A $300 security deposit is required at time of booking to secure your date. The balance amount due must be paid in full no less than thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled rehearsal date. Prices are subject to change.
COVID-19 Guidelines: We reserve the right to cancel/reschedule your wedding date based on our interpretation of COVID-19 guidelines from the state and county. We may operate differently from other museums because we are a part of the Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Historical Resources Department.
