Our main entrance is on 14th Street East.
Just look for “Old Cabbage Head”, our 1913 Baldwin Locomotive, welcoming visitors to the museum from SR 64.

What to Expect:

When you arrive, you will pull into our parking lot from 14th St E. You may begin your self-led tour at the Wiggins Store (brick building). During your self-led tour, you may use our paper brochures (available in the Wiggins Store) or use an app (listed below) which would require your own device's mobile data. WiFi will not be available. As you tour the site, please do not tamper with our collections (such as touching, moving, or climbing historical structures and artifacts).

 

Please be aware of the weather and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Air conditioning will not be available in most areas. We have benches for you to rest. Restrooms are located near the back of the 1887 Church and inside the Wiggin General Store.

Accessibility

Most of the amenities and points of interest at Manatee Village Historical Park are ground level, or feature ramps or a wheel chair lift. Due to the historic nature of our buildings, not all are ADA compliant. For those who wish to utilize them, we offer several online experiences, which provide both text and audio options. These resources can be found below.
